 General Information:

This is to inform the general public that the Nigerian Embassy in Kiev, Ukraine

has temporarily relocated to Vilnius, Lithuania and will commence skeletal operations

from the 1 st of September, 2022, at V. Gerulaičio g. 1.

2. Furthermore, the Embassy wishes to inform all applicants that starting from the

1 st of September, 2022, the underlisted consular services will attract the following

statutory fees:

(a) Legalization of documents individuals - €50.00 in addition to an administrative

charge of THIRTY EUROS ONLY (€30.00)

COMMERCIAL ENTITIES- €300.00 - in addition to an administrative charge of THIRTY

EUROS ONLY (€50.00)                       

(b) Age Declaration  - €50.00

(c) Fast Track for passport issuance - €100.00 (Subject to availability of passport

booklets. Please inquire!)

(d) ETC (Emergency Travel Certificate) - €50.00

(e) Application for loss of passport - €150.00, Visa Administration Fee: €30 and;

(f) Issuance of consular letter - €50.00

3. Kindly note that all charges for services are paid exact amount at the Embassy.

Note:

All documents for consular matters and authentication are to be submitted at the

Embassy on Mondays , Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 12pm and collection time is between

2pm to 3pm.

NEW PASPORT GUIDELINES

In line with the Federal government's commitment to simplify passport processing procedure, minimize or eliminate paper work, human contact, and make life easier for Passport applicants, Passport applicants will notice some slight changes in the payment system where they are now expected to upload their:

* PASSPORT SIZE PHOTOGRAPHS

* BIRTH CERTIFICATE (NATIONAL POPULATION COMMISSION) OR SWORN AFFIDAVIT OF DECLARATION OF AGE, for applicants born before 1992.

* CERTIFICATE OF IDENTIFICATION FROM THEIR STATE OR LOCAL GOVT OF ORIGIN

All from the comfort of their homes.

At the completion of payment, applicants are expected to choose a convenient appointment date, application form, payment slip and a printed appointment slip for acquisition of biometrics.

Upon automated verification of the uploaded documents, a notification is sent to the email address used to make the payment, to confirm either approval or query of the application.

Queries are expected to be addressed and reuploaded for further verification.

Automated approval or query notification is again forwarded in the same manner to the applicant's email address.

Successful applicants are notified to appear at the Embassy on the specified appointment date for acquisition of biometrics.

Failure to obtain a printed appointment slip may result in inability to acquire your biometrics.

Kindly note that applicants have three opportunities for answering queries. All queries not properly addressed by the third attempt or where same queried document is repeatedly uploaded, the applicant may stand the risk of losing his or her payment.  kindly let us be careful and be guided please.

In addition, kindly note that a pilot project of this nature would naturally precipitate some minor discomfort, but be rest assured that it is nothing to worry about. Such minor inconveniences are however, regretted. But with adherence to the rules, patience and understanding, we can all work together for a better service delivery that  meets global best practices and the satisfaction of all.

PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS

Applying for passport for baby:

1.    Application letter from parents requesting passport issuance addressed to the Head of Mission. click link for form.  https://immigration.gov.ng/ 

2.      Completed passport application form and 2 passport sized photographs (passport photographs endorsed at the back by the Guarantor);

3.     Completed Guarantors’ form duly signed and sworn before a Commissioner of Oaths/Magistrate/High Court Judge. 

4.      Marriage certificate of parents ( Marriage certificate not Issued in Nigeria should legalized in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria or in the Nigeria Mission in the country where the marriage certificate was issued).

5.    Birth Certificate (certificate issued by the National Population Commission shall be required from applicants whose date of birth is with effect from Dec 1992) or Age Declaration attached with one passport-sized photograph and duly endorsed by a Commissioner for Oaths.
( Birth certificate not Issued in Nigeria should legalized in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria or in the Nigeria Mission in the country where the marriage certificate was issued)

Nigerians applying for reissuance of passport from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Moldova and Georgia are to follow instructions below to receive a support letter from the Embassy for processing visa to come to Kyiv-Ukraine to process a new passport.

Please applicants are advised not to make payment online for their application regarding lose of passport. Payment can be made only till the Embassy confirms your approval for passport from Immigration Headquarters, Abuja.

Applicants seeking to replace their lost passports will henceforth, be surcharged the sum of USD 100.00, addition to the cost of replacing their passport. The reinstatement of the surcharge is intended to act as a deterrent and thus reduce the increasing spate of loss of passports.

8.     EMMERGENCY TRAVEL CERTIFICATE

Emergency Travel Certificate: This certificate is issued to Nigerians who lose their passport while abroad. This certificate helps them to return to Nigeria. An Emergency Travel Certificate is usually valid for one journey to Nigeria only and must be surrendered to immigration authorities at the port of entry.

• Proof of citizenship (Copy of Nigerian Passport)

• Travel Itinerary to Nigeria (Flight to Nigeria must be direct)
• In a case of lost/stolen passport, a police report and translated in English should be attached.
• These documents should be first scanned to our email nigeria.kyiv@foreignaffairs.gov.ng in 'Jpeg format'  for processing. PDF format will not be accepted.
• Please applicants or parents applying for an ETC are adviced not purchase flight ticket before applying for an ETC. Flight ticket should be bought only after your ETC has been issued to you. Once you have submitted all required documents contact the Embassy to know if your ETC is ready or for more information.
