DIGITAL ACCESS TO AFFIDAVITS AND BIRTH CERTIFICATES
The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria wishes to inform all Nigerian citizens that certain civil documents, including Affidavits and Birth Certificates, may now be obtained digitally through designated Nigerian online platforms.
Designated Digital Platforms
Applicants may access the following Nigerian online platforms to obtain the relevant civil documents:

Electronic Court Management System (ECMS)
For accessing and obtaining relevant court-issued documents, including affidavits.

VitalReg Self Service
For accessing digital civil registration services, including birth certificate applications.
Application Guidelines
Applicants requiring these documents are encouraged to apply through the appropriate Nigerian government website and follow the instructions provided on the respective platform for issuance and verification.
Please note that although these documents may be obtained digitally, they must still be authenticated/legalised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja, Nigeria before they can be presented for consular purposes or recognised abroad.
Applicants are therefore advised to ensure that all digitally issued documents have undergone the required authentication/legalisation process at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before submitting them to the Embassy or any foreign authority.
