The  general public is hereby informed that the Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th may, 2021 as public holiday to mark Ide el Fitr(End of Ramadan) celebration

The Embassy will be closed on these dates and will resume normal duties on 17th May, 2021.

REPATRIATION GUIDELINES

  The Embassy kindly wishes to inform citizen that submission of a Request/Application for a waiver for the repatriation of human remains should be addressed to the Honourable Minister of Health and Submitted to Port Health Services (Please note that the application should be written by the relatives of the deceased or other authorized representative.

2.        Request/Application to provide information of cause of death and include the following documents;

        I.          A data page of the deceased international passport

      II.          Death certificate

    III.          Embalment certificate

   IV.          Evidence of payment of N5,161.25 ( five Thousand, One Hundred and Sixty One Naira, Twenty-Five Kobo) to the port Health Services TSA account (052102900100-Tender)

3.        The waiver must accompany the request to the airline for the transportation of the human remains.

Kindly note that the NCDC guidelines for the safe transportation of remains of persons suspected or confirmed to have died of covid-19 can be accessed on the centres’s web-site at www.ncdc.gov.ng.

Following the decision of the government of Ukraine to enforce a lock-down  to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 effective from 5th April, 2021, the public is hereby notified that the Chancery will operate only on Tuesdays, and Thursdays, from 10.00am to 2.00pm, commencing Tuesday 6th April, 2021. This is essential, as it is no longer conducive to proceed with the normal working days and hours based on the quarantine measures.

 

2.        Consequently, the submission of applications for visas, as well as the authentication/issuance of documents will be from 11.00am to 12.30pm, while collection would be at 1.00pm – 2.00pm. Furthermore, applicants for Passports should please ensure that they obtain an appointment at: https://enkpassport-appointment.youcanbook.me.  

The appointment times must be strictly adhered to, in order to ensure efficiency.

The Embassy wishes to inform the public that the Federal Government of Nigeria has reiterated the subsistence of 19th February, 2021, deadline for linkaging of the National Identity Number (NIN) to Telephone lines.

            Consequently, the government has approved the opening of new enrollment centers in Canada, Spain and Switzerland whereas the Diaspora licensees   have commenced the reopening of NIN enrollment centers in countries that are certified to do so.

            The Public is hereby advised to seize the opportunity of the under-listed centers, to enroll for the mandatory NIN policy, which will form part of all future Citizens-Centric- Services in the Mission.
